The Big Star Lake Association holds an annual Boat Parade (7:30 p.m.). Trophies are awarded for the best decorated boats in the category choosen by the board annually. For 2006 the Boat Parade Theme is Board Games.
The Parade goes around the lake in a counter clockwise fashion.

Fireworks are shot over the lake at dark (at dark, approximately 10:15 pm) and viewing is available from the water and from the shore. Here is a movie of the 2003 fireworks. (3m download in avi format) Come join us for the celebration!
